i go home to the coast. it starts to rain, i paddle out on the water alone. taste the salt and taste the pain, i'm not thinking of you again.

Alien vs. Predator (2004): surprisingly this is the best movie i have seen in years!!! nah, just kidding. it was pretty dumb. i love all but one of the alien movies, but i've never seen any of the predator movies all the way through. the story line was pretty cool and i was down with learning a lot about the predators. but aliens have been well overdone. there is only so many times the eggs can hatch and the aliens can come out of someone's stomach. the human characters made no difference because they were basically just in the movie to die. the only good thing i can say about the movie is the predators. in fact if another movie came out on just the predators, i'd probably be all over it. the only reason i saw avp was because i've seen every alien movie, but i think i'm done with alien movies. if you are into amazingly real fx and cool sci-fi movies and want to see the predator kick some alien arse, then see it. otherwise steer clear.

Before Sunset (2004): this is of course the sequel to before sunrise and i had pretty high hopes for it. throughout the entire movie however, it kept heading in the wrong direction that i had wanted it to go in. again its that voice of reason that they randomly throw in films. as pb has said before though, we don't watch movies to see real life, but for the fantasy of it all and to escape. but the way it ends was amazing and every doubt about this movie that i had while watching it went away. it was absolutely perfect. just like the first, its all talk and no action. lots of conversations, but they are so real and seemed to be done all on one take which i can't even imagine how hard that could be. and i loved how through the movie they would reveal a little more info about the characters that just blows your mind. at the beginning of the film you think you know each person but turns out you know nothing. it gets a little slow during the middle, but the payoff at the end is worth it. and there is no point in seeing this if you haven't seen the first, so don't even bother. for those who want to see one of the best love stories that film has to offer, its worth buying.

we are currently grading our first exam in class for stats. so far i'm 7/7. make that 8/8. yesterday i went off on the hollywood video crew for charging me for another month for that dumb pass. yelled at them for about five minutes and was pretty proud of myself. had to call corporate and ask them for my money back. looks like the lsat class started without me so i guess all my time will be going toward that again. my mom and sis got into a car crash yesterday. they seem to be okay, but got some whiplash.

hey guess what? let me tell you how cool my school is. the utah legislature pulled like the $37 million they were gonna give us for a new digital library thing because they didn't like us having michael moore and the vagina monologues and having mock gambling at some dance or whatever. the bastards up north want us to be the byu of orem. so the lawmaking body of the state of utah can go to hell.

once or twice a month i dream about playing the trumpet which is weird since i haven't played in years. i collected comics for like 4 years but i don't dream of them. and i keep dreaming of shaun seita from fresno too. such a good guy. i miss that kid. since i'm doing so well today in just giving random thoughts, here are a few more:

  • i want the little mini sony vaio laptop they have at costco
  • i can't wait for easter to have some cadbury eggs
  • i'm sick of school
  • i love mexican food
  • i recently had some weird head thing where everything moves really really fast for like 10 minutes, which has actually been going since like 3rd grade
  • i'm slacking on developing pictures
  • i love red lacy undies with matching bra. they look so good on me
  • i took part in a wonderful conversation online yesterday which i will be posting soon; probably later today
  • US Weekly decided to do an article on which celebs weigh less than 100 lbs. i'm waiting for the edition that tells what celebs weigh more than 200 lbs
  • sadly, this stats class is probably my favorite class of the semester
  • old people in school are generally pretty dumb and annoying
  • mark mcguire has got a hot wife
  • and venus and serena are nasty. no one wants to see that

so that's all for now. watch later for my convo. its kinda dumb, but was funny at the time. out.
